Hyderabad: Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation (TSTDC) has decided to implement the new PRC as per the government orders to all the staff members, including regular, contract and outsourced employees.
This would result in an additional expenditure of nearly Rs 60 lakh a month to TSTDC. The decision to this effect was taken during the Corporation’s Board meeting held here on Friday. TSTDC Chairman Uppala Srinivas Gupta chaired the meeting.
During the meeting, it was also decided to introduce an online ticketing system at all the TSTDC business units across the State for the convenience of visitors, especially in the wake of the Covid pandemic.
Telangana Tourism, which recently completed the construction of new tourism projects at Somasila, Uma Maheswaram, Mannanur and Egalapenta and Tribal circuits at Gattamma, Tadvai, Medaram, Bogatha waterfall and Mallur will be reopening them immediately to visitors. They were closed due to the Covid pandemic.
As per the instructions of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, the Board members also discussed the measures to develop tourism spots at Mid Manair and Annapurna Barrage. Experts are likely to be roped in to prepare the plans for taking up the projects.
