Warangal Urban: Task Force police apprehended two persons for allegedly selling banned tobacco product, gutka, near Kazipet church area under the limits of Kazipet police station on Saturday, and seized the banned products worth Rs 78,300, Rs 3000 cash and a car.
Task Force Inspector Ch Srinivas Ji said, “On receiving credible information about illegal supply of gutka, the Task Force team intercepted a car bearing no. AP-09-BT-0654 near Kazipet church area and nabbed two persons. The apprehended have been identified as Gajawada Satyanarayana and Erukulla Vijay Kumar. They were transporting gutka to one Murali pan shop in Kazipet,”
It is said that accused were living at Dilsukhnagar and involved in gutka business in Hyderabad and they had been supplying the banned products to various places on order. The accused were handed over to Kazipet police for further investigation. One more accused Pallagani Maralinath, the pan shop owner, at Vishnupur in Kazipet, is absconding.
