Two arrested in Adilabad for death caused by electrified fence

Adilabad: Police on Sunday arrested two men for allegedly causing the death of a person by setting up an electrified fence at Babjipet village in Echoda mandal.
The accused were identified as Chikram Pandu and his brother-in-law Mandadi Eshwar, who were booked in connection with the death of Sadmake Santhu from Rolmamada village on September 23.
According to police, Pandu confessed to laying the electric fence to protect his paddy crop from wild animals. Santhu is believed to have died after accidentally touching the fence. Pandu further admitted to dumping the body in a stream with the help of Eshwar in an attempt to conceal the offence.
Police warned of stern action against those who set up electrified fences or snares that pose a threat to both humans and animals.
