Police seized 54 bikes and two auto rickshaws without documents in Paloncha
Kothagudem: Police have organised a community connect programme under the limits of Paloncha town police station in the district on Saturday.
As many as 250 houses were searched as part of the programme at the directions of SP B Rohith Raju and Paloncha DSP Sathish Kumar. Police seized 54 two-wheelers and two auto rickshaws that were found without proper documents.
The houses of the suspected persons were searched by sniffer dogs in Vanama Nagar and Hamali Colonies. Paloncha Inspector of Police Vinay Kumar told the residents to inform police if they found any suspicious persons moving in the area.
He also advised the residents to inform the police about the people who were engaged in unsocial activities and details of the informants would be kept confidential. Everyone should take part in crime control by installing CCTV cameras in their respective areas, the CI said.
Paloncha town SIs Suman and Jeevan Kumar, Paloncha rural SI Suresh, Mulakalapalli SI Rajasekhar and special party personnel and local police personnel took part in the programme.
