Before taking his life, Saikrishna called his elder brother’s son Rajashekhar and informed him that he was at Kodurupaka bridge and disconnected the call with the words ‘I miss you.’

The family members immediately informed the police following which Boinpalli SI Srinivas and his team reached the spot and found the motorcycle and mobile phone of Saikrishna at the bridge. A crowd had gathered at the spot and Gaddam Rajashekhar Reddy (30), who was on his way to Karimnagar from Sircilla, stopped out of curiosity. In the melee, he accidentally fell into the reservoir and drowned.

A resident of Subashnagar in Karimnagar town, Rajashekahar Reddy was working as a software engineer in Hyderabad, and was working from home since the lockdown. He and his friend Ajith had gone to Sircilla and the two were returning home when the unfortunate incident took place.
