Hyderabad: The Cyberabad police, as part of its crackdown against drugs, caught two persons on Tuesday and Wednesday and seized 50 grams of liquid marijuana (hashish oil) from them.
The Cyberabad police had stepped up its special drive against drugs across the commissionerate and raids were being conducted on a daily basis. According to the police, in the last two days, one case under the NDPS Act and 80 E-petty cases were registered against those involved in drug peddling.
Till now, eight persons involved in drug peddling were detained under the Preventive Detention Act since the crackdown began recently in Cyberabad. Officials said bulk buyers, local retailers and drug transporters were on the police radar in order to curb marijuana peddling and consumption.
