Hyderabad: The Task Force ( Secunderabad Zone), along with Malakpet police, arrested two interstate drug peddlers and seized 20 kgs of marijuana worth around Rs 10 lakh at Dilsukhnagar bus stop on Thursday.

The suspects, identified as Ramesh Bandam and Nirmal Chhatria, both natives of Malkangiri district in Odisha, were allegedly transporting the contraband from Odisha to Hyderabad on the instructions of a supplier identified as Anand Thakura alias David, who is currently absconding.

Police said the duo was promised Rs 10,000 each for every delivery trip.

Following a tip-off, the task force team nabbed them while they were waiting to hand over the drugs to a Hyderabad-based receiver, identified as Goutham, who is also absconding.

The case is under investigation.
