Hyderabad: Two motorcyclists died and two others were injured in separate road accidents reported from Medchal police station limits on Tuesday morning, police said.
In Medchal industrial area, three persons travelling on a motorcycle met with an accident when an unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle. While M Ushappa (40) died on the spot two others Srikanth and Srinivas were critically injured. All the three hail from Karnataka and were working as construction workers.
The incident occurred when Ushappa, who was driving the bike, had slowed down at a junction to take a ‘U’ turn. A rashly driven vehicle, suspected to be a truck rammed into their bike.
In the second incident, a person riding an Enfield was run over by a container truck near a petrol bunk on National Highway – 44 in Yellampet locality.
The motorcyclist identified as Sricharan (29) was killed on the spot as his head came under the tyres of the huge container truck. The victim was wearing a helmet but it was of no use as the tyres went over him, police said.
The Medchal police have booked separate cases and took up investigation. The footage from the surveillance cameras in the surroundings is being examined.
The bodies were shifted to the Gandhi Hospital morgue for autopsy.
