Siddipet: Two youths were drowned in a check dam constructed across Moya Tummeda stream at Poreddypally village in Koheda Mandal on Tuesday. The victims were identified as Prasanth (21) and his cousin Kumara Swamy (19). The youths, who went for swimming in the stream, drowned when the swam deep into the water body.

The bodies have been fished out later. A pall of gloom descended on Poreddypally as the two youths died on the same day. A case has been registered by Koheda Police.
