Hyderabad: UFC returns to Las Vegas for a pivotal clash in the featherweight division as former champion Max Holloway squares off with Mexican standout Yair Rodriguez at UFC APEX. Back-to-back title challenges and a smashing victory against Calvin Kattar earlier this year have kept Holloway the top contender in the featherweight division. And while a series of unfortunate events has delayed his return two years, Rodriguez maintains a third ranking with excellent wins over Jeremy Stephens and Korean Zombie. The matches will be telecast on Sony Ten 1 (English), Sony Ten 3 (Hindi) channels at 2.30 am.

Heavyweights occupy the co-main event position as heavy hitters Ben Rothwell and Marcos Rogerio de Lima look to build on impressive victories from earlier this year. “Big Ben” secured a second-round guillotine choke over Chris Barnett in May which set him up to look for his 40th career victory this weekend. But he will need to overcome a fellow veteran power hitter in de Lima, who counts his KOs all the way back to The Ultimate Fighter Season 3.

Also on the main card, former women’s featherweight title challenger Felicia Spencer takes on Leah Letson, #15 ranked bantamweight contender Song Yadong and Julio Arce look to steal the show, and an action-packed welterweight contest bewteen Miguel Baeza and Khaos Williams opens the card.
