Jagtial: Unable to find money for his medical expenses, a farmer, Lakkam Pedda Gangaram (47) died by suicide in Kalikota of Kathalapur mandal. He was found hanging from a tree on a hillock near his agricultural field on the outskirts of the village.

Pedda Gangaram had left home on Saturday evening after informing his family that he was going to the agricultural field. As he did not return home in the night and did not respond to phone calls, family members searched for him in the morning and found him hanging from the tree.

Gangaram, who met with an accident two years ago, was suffering from health problems in the recent past. He used to worry about his medical expenses, family members said.

Based on a complaint lodged by his wife Lakshmi, police registered a case and began investigation.
