Hyderabad: Panic gripped residents of Rajendranagar after locals discovered the body of an unidentified man lying in a pool of blood near the service road off the Bengaluru National Highway on Wednesday.
The body was found dumped close to the Agricultural University.
Preliminary investigation suggests that the victim’s throat was slit with a sharp weapon, indicating a brutal attack.
Officers suspect that the murder may have been committed elsewhere and the body later dumped at the location. Forensic and Clues Team personnel were called to the scene to gather evidence.
This incident comes amid a series of violent crimes in the Rajendranagar and surrounding areas. Last week, a woman was allegedly raped and murdered. On Monday, there was another murder attempt in Mailardevpally, reportedly a contract killing case.
Locals say the recurring incidents have created a sense of fear and insecurity, urging the police to step up night patrols and security measures.
Rajendranagar Police have registered a case and launched a probe to identify the victim and trace the assailants.
