Unidentified miscreants attack elderly couple, decamp with mangalasutra in Medak
An elderly couple in Jangarai village, Chinna Shankarampet mandal, Medak district, was attacked by unidentified miscreants who snatched a mangalsutra from Savithri (73). Both she and her husband Anjaiah (77) sustained head injuries while resisting the assailants.
Medak: Some unidentified miscreants attacked an elderly couple at Jangarai village in Chinna Shankarampet mandal and decamped with the gold chain the elderly woman was wearing on Wednesday afternoon.
The couple Tammala Savithri (73) and Anjaiah (77) were at their home when some unidentified miscreants snatched the mangalsutra of Savithri. The miscreants attacked the couple when they confronted them. The victims sustained bleeding head injuries. They were rushed to the government hospital in Medak for treatment.
The incident created a sensation in the village as the thieves attacked the couple in broad daylight. The police have launched an investigation.
