Vanasthalipuram police book man for harassing woman
A man named Shravan Reddy has been booked by Vanasthalipuram police in Hyderabad for allegedly harassing and threatening a young woman after she rejected his advances. He reportedly stalked her for months and later threatened her at her residence.
Hyderabad: The Vanasthalipuram police booked a case against a man identified as Shravan Reddy for allegedly harassing and threatening a young woman after she rejected his advances.
Shravan, who is reportedly a relative of the woman, had been persistently calling and pressuring her to accept his love proposal for the past six months.
The harassment escalated on April 30 when he allegedly intercepted her near her college and issued threats.
Later the same day, he allegedly went to her residence and warned her that he would kill her or take his own life if she did not agree to be in a relationship with him.
Following a complaint lodged by the victim, police registered a case against him and are investigating the matter.
