Vasavi College of Engineering tops OU inter-college chess meet

Vasavi College of Engineering won the OU Inter-college chess championship with 15.5 points. Dr BR Ambedkar College finished second with 14.5 points. Prof Bala Bhaskar, Joint Director of Collegiate Education, presented the prizes at the event held here on Tuesday

Hyderabad: Vasavi College of Engineering won the OU Inter-college chess championship with 15.5 points, while Dr BR Ambedkar College finished second with 14.5 points here on Tuesday.

Prof Bala Bhaskar, Joint Director, Collegiate Education, gave away the prizes.

Final placings:
1st place: Vasavi College of Engineering 15.5 points (Varshith, Sainath, Sharath, Shyam and Sai Vardhan).

2nd place: Dr BR Ambedkar College 14.5 points (Akshay Kumar, Nelson, Nikhil, Manish Kumar, Kumar Raj Thota).

3rd place: CBIT 14 points (Sai Teja, Pavan Mohith, Vishal, Abdul Faatih Siddique and Sashreek Kumar played well).

4th place: Bhavans Vivekananda 13.5 points (Rohith, Rohith Yadav, Sai Sharan, Hrishit and Rahul Yadav).
