Nizamabad: In a strong rebuttal to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy’s comments on ousting BRS chief K Chandrashekhar Rao from Telangana, former Minister and MLA Vemula Prashanth Reddy on Saturday said that Revanth Reddy appeared to be suffering from a mental disorder.

Prashanth Reddy expressed shock over such disparaging remarks that were unbecoming of a Chief Minister. That was the reason people have not recognised him as the Chief Minister while leaders of the Congress Party were also forgetting the name of the Chief Minister.

Prashanth Reddy questioned why anyone would consider ousting Chandrashekhar Rao, the very person who played a pivotal role in the formation of Telangana State. He lauded the BRS chief’s efforts and highlighted his 15-year-long struggle, during which he sacrificed many positions and faced numerous challenges to achieve statehood for Telangana.

Prashanth Reddy criticised Revanth Reddy for his controversial history, including his involvement in the “vote for note” scandal. He further accused Revanth Reddy of failing to fulfil his promises, despite claiming he would implement 420 promises within 100 days of assuming office. Prashanth Reddy asserted that even after 14 months in power, Revanth Reddy has not successfully implemented a single promise.
