Rajanna- Sircilla: Following the death of bulls, veterinary doctors visited the Goshala run by the Sri Rajarajeshwara Swamy temple in Vemulawada. Based on instructions from Collector Sandeep Kumar Jha, a five-member doctors’ team, led by Dr Anji Reddy, visited Thippapur Goshala and examined the premises.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Anji Reddy informed that overcrowding was the main reason for the death of the bulls. Stating that there was no proper drainage system, he mentioned that the premises of the Goshala had become muddy due to the rains over the last few days.
As a result, stampedes occurred between the bulls, leading to the death of the “kodelu.” Lack of adequate staff was also one of the reasons for the bulls’ deaths, he said, and informed that a report would be submitted to the Collector. It is learnt that the district administration is contemplating resuming the distribution of kodelu to farmers after the Bakrid festival.
