Jogulamba Gadwal: Tension prevailed at Ieeja after a fire broke out at a drip pipeline factory on Saturday morning. Drip pipes and other raw materials stored in the factory were gutted in the incident.
Officials said there were no casualties, though property was damaged.
As the fire spread beyond the factory premises, panic gripped villagers. The Fire and Rescue Services department was alerted immediately and fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames.
Fire personnel brought the situation under control after an hour. Officials said a short circuit was suspected to be the reason behind the incident.
