Vijay Deverakonda, Prakash Raj appear before CID in betting app case
Tollywood actors Vijay Deverakonda and Prakash Raj appeared before the Crime Investigation Department in Hyderabad following summons related to their alleged promotion of online betting apps. The SIT is probing financial transactions and commissions linked to the case.
Hyderabad: Tollywood actors Vijay Deverakonda and Prakash Raj appeared before the Crime Investigation Department (CID) on Tuesday in connection with a case registered against them for allegedly promoting online betting apps.
The two actors appeared before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of CID in response to summons issued to them by the agency. The SIT officials questioned them about the money and commission received for allegedly promoting the betting apps.
The SIT was constituted by the State government in March 2025. It is probing cases related to betting apps under the supervision of the Director-General of Police and CID chief.
