Actress Nidhhi Agerwal, presenter Sreemukhi and Instagrammer Amrutha Chowdhary appeared before CID officials in Hyderabad for questioning over alleged promotion of online betting apps. They were asked about payments, companies promoted and endorsement links. Further action will follow based on collected evidence.
Actor Rana Daggubati and anchor Vishnu Priya appeared before the Telangana CID as part of the ongoing probe into online betting and gambling applications. The SIT is recording statements of celebrities, while the ED is conducting a parallel money laundering investigation.
Tollywood actors Vijay Deverakonda and Prakash Raj appeared before the Crime Investigation Department in Hyderabad following summons related to their alleged promotion of online betting apps. The SIT is probing financial transactions and commissions linked to the case.
The arrested persons are S Srikanth, G Satish Kumar, Tirupati , Harsha and Vinod, all from Kagaz Nagar in Kumaram Bheem-Asifabad. According to the police, the suspects are close friends and have been organising betting in online mode
The case was registered against Rana Daggubatti, Prakash Raj, Vijay Devarakonda, Manchu Lakshmi, Praneetha, Nidhi Agarwal and 19 other social media influencers
