Vijayashanthi celebrates 55th birthday, Mahesh Babu extends wishes
Vijayashanthi made her acting debut with 'Khiladi Krishnudu' when she was 14 years old.
Wishes poured in on social media as actor Vijayashanthi celebrated her 55th birthday. Her acting and versatile performances earned her the name ‘lady superstar’ of south Indian cinema.
Superstar Mahesh Babu greeted her on Thursday with a tweet saying, “Happy birthday @vijayashanthi_m garu! Wishing you all the joy, peace and great health always!”

Vijayashanthi made her acting debut with ‘Khiladi Krishnudu’ when she was 14 years old. Later, the movie ‘Neti Bharatam’ earned her much needed breakthrough as a female actor in the industry. She has amassed fans across various film industries of Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi.
Movies such as ‘Karthavyam’, ‘Osey Ramulamma’, ‘Pratighatana’, ‘Swayamkrushi’ are some of her iconic movies in Telugu. Her last outing was Mahesh Babu starrer ‘Sarileru Neekevvaru’ in which she played the role of a professor in a medical college.
