Vijayawada photographer Srinivasa Reddy earns APS Master honour
Renowned Vijayawada photographer T. Srinivasa Reddy has been conferred the prestigious Master’s honour by the Australian Photographic Society for 2026. The recognition came for his acclaimed photo feature on coal mines in Srirampuram, adding another milestone to his distinguished photography career.

Hyderabad: For the well-known photographer T. Srinivasa Reddy from Vijayawada, it was not just another routine Friday morning but one which saw him visibly delighted with the prestigious Australian Photographic Society conferring the Master’s honour to him in “recognition of outstanding skill, talent and creativity photography” for the year 2026.
“Yes, it has been a decade-long wait for me. Finally, it happened today. I am absolutely thrilled,” said Srinivasa Reddy, interestingly for whom winning awards has become some sort of a habit as they include the prestigious Fellowship of The Royal Photographic Society of the UK too.
“I feel deeply honoured to be among only two artists worldwide to receive this Master distinction in 2026. This achievement adds to my journey of recognition in the world of photography,” The 60-year-old lensman from Vijayawada informed ‘Telangana Today’.
“Well, my association with the Australian Photographic Society began nearly two decades ago. In 2016, I was honoured with the APS Fellowship recognition. Now, after ten years, I am truly humbled to attain the Master level,” said the photographer who also holds MAPS, MFIR, FRPS and EPSA.
“I got this award for my photo feature on coal mines in Srirampuram on which I had worked for close to two years. It was a different kind of challenge and I am glad that I could make it and now get this kind of recognition too,” he said.
Srinivasa Reddy also recalls the world-famous photographer Raghu Rai is his huge inspiration having shared a special bond with the Telugu photography community, visiting many times, including workshops with the Khammam Photographers Association, and journeys to Papikondalu and Bhadrachalam.
It is not just photography which earned him a name for Srinivasa Reddy is also a Doctorate in Business Management from Nagpur University besides being a highly qualified photographer and worked in many publications including Indian Express, Deccan Chronicle and even worked as Assistant Professor.
“Well, on this occasion, I sincerely thank all my fellow photographer-friends for being so good to me over the years and always encouraging me to take up new challenges,” signed off Srinivas Reddy.
