WAMS-2026 concludes successfully at BVRIT with global participation

Sangareddy: The 5th Wireless, Antenna and Microwave Symposium (WAMS-2026), hosted by BV Raju Institute of Technology (BVRIT), Narsapur, concluded successfully after five days of intensive technical sessions, research presentations, professional networking and international collaboration. The symposium served as a premier platform for scientific research dissemination, industry-academia interaction and global partnerships.
Addressing the valedictory session, Dr Sudhakar K Rao, WAMS Advisor and internationally acclaimed antenna scientist, said that WAMS-2026 attracted 1,059 international research paper submissions from scientists representing 18 countries, bringing together representatives from leading research organisations, universities, industries and academic institutions from across the world.
The organisers outlined the major achievements of the symposium, which brought together eminent scientists, researchers, industry leaders, academicians, technology professionals and students from different countries. Extensive discussions were held on emerging trends and innovations in wireless communications, antenna technologies, microwave engineering, artificial intelligence and related fields.
Addressing the gathering, Dr K Lakshmi Prasad, Director of BVRIT, said the symposium promoted cutting-edge research, facilitated knowledge sharing and strengthened collaborations among researchers, industries and academic institutions worldwide.
Dr Sanjay Dubey, Principal of BVRIT, remarked that WAMS has significantly enhanced the institute’s international visibility and reputation. He emphasised that the participation of experts from diverse countries created valuable opportunities for knowledge exchange, networking and future collaborative research initiatives among academia, industry and research organisations.
The symposium’s highest honour, the Dr Sudhakar Rao Special Recognition Award, carrying a cash prize of Rs one lakh, was jointly presented to Prof Sameer Chakravarthy Vedula and Prof P Satish Ram Chowdary in recognition of their exceptional contributions to the growth of WAMS and the engineering community.
