Warangal CP inspects flooded areas, 1200 persons shifted to relief centres

Warangal Police Commissioner Sunpreet Singh inspected rain-hit colonies in Hanamkonda on Thursday, reviewing flood relief work with officials. About 45 colonies across Warangal and Hanamkonda were inundated, with 1,200 people shifted to relief centres by civic and police teams.

Hanamkonda: Warangal Commissioner of Police Sunpreet Singh visited areas inundated in rain water in Hanamkonda on Thursday.

He travelled on a tractor in the rain affected colonies and enquired the concerned officials about the details of ongoing relief efforts in flooded colonies. The CP asked the people to contact police if they need any help and told the officials to respond immediately to the calls of the people affected by rains.

Warangal Mayor, Gundu Sudharani informed that about 30 colonies in Warangal and 15 colonies in Hanamkonda in Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation were under waterlogging. Seven teams formed with municipal DRF, engineering and sanitary staff shifted about 1200 persons to 12 relief centres.
