Warangal Urban: The Central Crime Station (CCS) police along with Intezarganj police have arrested a four-member inter-State gang of thieves on Saturday and recovered Rs 1.13 lakh cash, and four cell phones from them.
According to Warangal police commissioner Dr Tarun Joshi, the arrested, aged between 19 and 23 years, are from Rajasthan. They have been identified as Jithender Kumar alias Mahaveer of Barmer district, Akan Singh of Jalore district, Vikram Singh of Jalore district, and Arjun Singh of the same district. The police said that the accused had stolen electrionic goods worth Rs eight lakh by breaking the shutter locks at JPN Road in Warangal on April 18. “The accused, who lived in Chennai for some years, had committed thefts in the towns and cities of Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the past. They were nabbed near Warangal bus station by the police based on a tip off,” the CP added.
