A car caught fire on Shamshabad Road near Hyderabad’s outskirts on Wednesday night, halting traffic on NH-44. The driver noticed smoke and stopped the vehicle before flames engulfed it.

Hyderabad: A moving car caught fire at Shamshabad road on the city outskirts on Wednesday night.

According to reports, the car was moving when the driver noticed smoke inside the vehicle and stopped it immediately. Soon, the vehicle was engulfed in flames. Traffic on the NH-44 came to a standstill following the incident.

Upon receiving information, the local police reached the spot and informed the fire department. A fire tender arrived promptly and extinguished the fire.

The officials suspect the fire started because of a short circuit.
