Watch: Seventeen passengers die in horrific road accident in Chevella
At least 16 people were killed and several others injured after a TSRTC bus collided with a gravel-laden truck near Mirzaguda village in Chevella, Ranga Reddy district. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy ordered a high-level inquiry into the fatal accident.

Hyderabad: Atleast 17 passengers reportedly died and many others suffered serious injuries when an TGSRTC bus from Tandur depot collided with a gravel-laden truck near Mirzaguda village in Chevella in Ranga Reddy district on the Hyderabad–Bijapur National Highway on Monday.
The impact left the front portion of the bus completely damaged. About 70 passengers were travelling in the bus at the time of the accident. The injured were immediately rushed to Chevella Government Hospital for treatment.
Police have registered a case and started investigation into the incident.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Monday expressed deep condolences over the tragic bus accident at Chevella in which many passengers lost lives. He instructed Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao and DGP Shivadhar Reddy to immediately shift the injured to Hyderabad and extend quality treatment.
He also directed a few Ministers to visit the spot and coordinate the relief measures. The District Collector was specifically to deploy more ambulances and required medical staff for save the lives of people suffered injuries in the accident.
BRS president K Chandrashekhar rao expressed his shock over the bus accident that claimed 17 lives. He urged the government to extend all possible help to the injured and the families of the deceased passengers. He expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members.
BRS working president KT Rama Rao has also expressed his shock over the incident and offered his condolences to the members of bereaved families. He requested the government to provide good treatment to the injured persons.
