An adorable video of two wild bears excitedly playing football is making waves on the internet today. The video was captured on camera at Sukhigaon in Odisha’s Nabarangpur.
As per reports, a group of locals were playing football in an open field in the village. And when they spotted two bears approaching them, the children panicked and fled, leaving the football on the field ground.
Soon, the two bears started playing with the ball while kicking and tossing it in the air. In the minute-long video, the mother bear kicked the football at her cub and waited for him to return the ball. The mother was also captured throwing the ball up in the air and trying to catch it. The locals who shot the video enjoyed the rare sight of the bears playing.
However, the bears also took the ball back into the forest after playing with it.
The now viral video was posted by news agency ANI on their official Twitter handle.
“It is an animal instinct. They examine and try to find out the nature of any object that they find for the first time,” the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) told ‘ANI’ on Monday.
A boy who was playing in the field also told ‘IANS’ that when they “were playing football, the two bears suddenly appeared in the field. We fled leaving the football. We were surprised to see them playing”.
The two bears were also tagged to be Messi and Ronaldo of the wild.
