Bhukya Naresh had taken his sheep to a nearby forest for grazing when a bear, concealed in the bushes, suddenly attacked him. Naresh sustained injuries to his left hand during the encounter.
According to reports, since the last two days, the bear has been seen roaming between Mengaram Road and Gandhari Road. People have even captured video of the bear.
According to villagers, the shepherd, Guguloth Ravi, along with his herd of sheep went to a nearby water body. A bear, which emerged from the nearby forest, attacked Ravi.
Forest officials along with a special animal rescue vehicle rushed to the spot and shot the bear with a tranquilliser gun, and later shifted it to a safer place
The movements of the bear were also recorded in CCTV cameras in Sripura colony. When it was found in Rekurthy, some locals captured visuals of the bear with their mobile phones.
