Mahabubnagar: In yet another frightening incident, a wife allegedly pushed her husband into River Krishna in the guise of taking a selfie on Saturday.
The incident occurred when Tatappa and his wife arrived near a bridge on the River Krishna at Kadlur village in Raichur district of Karnataka, which shares borders with Narayanpet district of Telangana.
After arriving at the bridge, Tatappa and his wife took some pictures on the mobile. As they wanted to capture a selfie, the husband accidentally fell into the River Krishna.
Tatappa swam and managed to hold onto a rock in the river. Hearing his screams, locals, who were passing by, immediately rushed to the spot and rescued him with a rope.
After heaving a sigh of relief, Tatappa alleged that his wife had deliberately pushed him into the river. As the couple continued to argue on the spot, locals pacified them and called their parents. Eventually, the couple was taken to their homes, according to reports. More details are awaited and a video of the incident is going viral on social media platforms.
