Hyderabad: With an aim to create a beautiful amalgamation between women entrepreneurs and the women frontline workers, WE Hub has announced a new pilot. The exclusive incubator for women entrepreneurs in Telangana, WE Hub on Thursday called for women-led startups from textile design and/or manufacturing to register for a pilot programme that will provide new design sarees to Asha Workers.
“Our focus as an exclusive incubator for women is to handhold these entrepreneurs to be able to work with government. As part of this initiative, we have partnered with the Health Department to revamp the design of sarees of Asha Workers. Previously, we worked with Anganwadis to redesign the schools in Telangana. So, we are calling women entrepreneurs and startups working in the field of textile design and/or manufacturing to work on this pilot,” says Deepthi Ravula, CEO, WE Hub.
The requirements for the project include designing Asha Workers Sarees with specification of White Saree (Plain Body) with Sky Blue border, the capability of manufacturing more than 10,000 units a week. Interested can email their final designs to pgm-wehub@telangana.gov.in before February 7.
