Mancherial: An aspirant for the MLC post from erstwhile Karimnagar-Nizamabad, Adilabad and Medak districts graduate constituency, V Narender Reddy asserted that he would strive hard to address major challenges of graduates, unemployed and employees by working as a servant if elected.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, he said that those who got elected as Graduate MLC failed to resolve the problems of the graduates, unemployed and employees after winning the polls. He would leave no stone unturned to address their challenges with sincerity, if elected.

Reddy said that the problem of unemployment was high in Telangana and all the unemployed people were in despair. Holders of degree, post-graduation, B Ed and PhD courses were not getting jobs. Candidates of DSC 1998 were also waiting for government jobs.

The owners of the private degree PG colleges were facing difficulties since the scholarship dues were not released for three years. MEOs, Deputy DEOs were waiting for promotions, while many posts were lying vacant in the education department.

The chairman of Karimnagar-based Alphores Educational Institutions further said that lessons were still being taught on blackboards in State-run universities, and every professor needed a laptop. He said that he would make concerted efforts to release a job calendar in a year for the unemployed if elected. He would become a role model to today’s elected representatives by serving the people.
