Woman dies while de-boarding train at Malkajgiri railway station

A 45-year-old woman, Kamaladevi from Sangareddy, died after slipping while de-boarding the Kacheguda Express at Malkajgiri railway station. She sustained critical leg injuries and later died during treatment. Government Railway Police are investigating the incident

Hyderabad: A 45-year-old woman died after accidentally falling under a moving train while de-boarding at the Malkajgiri railway station on Sunday evening.

According to police, the victim, identified as Kamaladevi (45) of Beeramguda, Sangareddy district, was travelling with her daughter Bhavana Chowdari on the Kacheguda Express (Train No.17606) from Marwar to Kacheguda.


The incident occurred when the train reached on Platform No. 2, when Kamaladevi reportedly slipped and fell while alighting from the train, resulting in severe injuries to both her legs.

Railway staff and passengers rushed her to Gandhi Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries while undergoing treatment in the night.

The Secunderabad Government Railway Police are investigating.
