Woman killed after speeding car hits her in Madhapur

A 26-year-old woman, Bharathi Mukhi, was killed after being allegedly hit by a speeding car while crossing the road near Inorbit Mall in Madhapur on Monday night. Madhapur police registered a case based on a complaint

Hyderabad: A 26-year-old woman was killed after she was allegedly hit by a speeding car while crossing the road near a mall in Madhapur on Monday night.

According to the police, the victim, Bharathi Mukhi (26), and her colleague Pooja Ashok (26) had gone towards the vicinity of ITC Kohinoor around 3 p.m. to bring lunch. While returning to Inorbit Mall, Bharathi was crossing the road in front of the mall when a car allegedly being driven at high speed and in a negligent manner by Sanjush hit her.

Bharathi suffered severe bleeding injuries to her head. She was immediately shifted to a hospital in the same vehicle. However, doctors who examined her declared that she had already died.

Based on a complaint, Madhapur police registered a case.
