Mulugu: One woman labourer was killed and 18 others sustained injured when a pickup truck in which they were travelling turned turtle near Beeramaiah temple in Wazeedu mandal in the district on Saturday.
The deceased was identified as Tellam Lakshmi (30) of the neighbouring Chattisgarh State. The accident took place the driver had lost control of the wheel while negotiating a curve. The injured had been shifted to nearby hospital.
The victims were coming to Telangana to work in the agriculture fields from the neighbouring villages of Chattisgarh State. It is said that there a total of 23 people in the mini-truck when the accident took place.
