Woman robbed of ornaments, killed at Dundigal on Hyderabad outskirts

Unidentified persons had entered the house and killed her. The offenders later took away some ornaments worn by the woman, say police officials

Hyderabad: A woman was robbed and killed by unidentified persons at her house in Dundigal on the city outskirts late on Monday.

According to the police, the victim was identified as A Sharada, a resident of Sri Vamshi Residency at Mallampet in Dundigal. On Monday morning, Vinay, the son of the victim, left for work while the woman was at home.

In the night, when Vinay tried to contact her mother over phone, she did not respond. Vinay then contacted the neighbours who checked the house and found the woman lying dead in the bedroom.

“Unidentified persons had entered the house and killed her. The offenders later took away some ornaments worn by the woman before escaping,” said Dundigal police. On information, the police reached the spot and took up the investigation. A case was registered.
