Woman run over by RTC bus in Amberpet dies during treatment

A 50-year-old woman died after being run over by an RTC bus in Amberpet, Hyderabad, on Saturday night. The victim fell onto the road after the bus hit the scooter she was travelling on with her son near Golnaka.

Hyderabad: A woman died after being run over by a RTC bus at Amberpet on Saturday night.
According to the police, V Padmavathi (50), a resident of Srikrishna colony, Peerzadiguda was riding pillion on a scooter while her son Vishal Kumar Reddy, was riding the vehicle.

“On reaching Golnaka road, a speeding RTC bus hit the scooter. Padmavathi who was sitting pillion fell on the road and came under the rear wheels of the RTC bus,” said G Suresh, sub inspector police, Amberpet.


The woman was shifted to a hospital where she died while undergoing treatment later in the night. A case is registered.
