Mancherial: Uppuleti Gopika from Mandamarri received a certificate of appreciation from Collector Kumar Deepak as the best volunteer at the 76th Republic Day celebrations held in Mancherial on Sunday.
Gopika is known for teaching tailoring to financially weak women and operating a literacy centre at Sripathinagar in Mandamarri.
She has passionately been helping the women to achieve self-empowerment and learning alphabets for quite a long time. She was congratulated by residents on being recognised by the district authorities.
