Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Traffic Police on Thursday caught a two-wheeler rider who had 23 pending challans for traffic violations. The officials, who caught the woman, recovered pending fines of Rs 9,000 from her. The officials, as part of a regular checking at Kukatpally, noticed her riding the scooter, without a helmet and talking over the phone. They immediately stopped her and when the staff entered the vehicle registration number on the tablet, the database showed 23 pending challans, a total of Rs 9,000, most of them were for violating the helmet rule and also for using the mobile phone while driving. The woman was counselled in the presence of her parents and was let off. The Traffic Police posted a picture of the rider on Twitter after blurring the face, along with a list of the challans, and urged citizens to strictly adhere to traffic rules for their safety and that of others too.
