Woman’s attempt to sell 20-day-old baby girl fails in Indupriyal

Siddipet: A woman allegedly attempted to sell her 20-day-old baby girl at Indupriyal in Doulthabad mandal on Monday. The incident came to light after she failed to strike a deal with buyers.

The locals informed the local Anganwadi workers who eventually called in the ICDS officials. When the officials reached the spot, the woman denied the incident. However, the officials shifted the woman and her daughter to a shelter home in Siddipet. A probe is on.

The woman was a resident of Mallanna Sagar R&R Colony. She already had a daughter and gave birth to the second girl child 20 days ago.
