Hyderabad: On the occasion of International Women’s day, GiggleMug Events is organising a run for women in the city. The theme of the run is Promoting women’s leadership in climate action.
“As primary energy managers in households, women play a powerful role in the successful transition to sustainable energy. Through this event we want to promote actionable items that can be followed and help reduce climatic changes,” the organisers say.
This run, scheduled to be held on March 8, is part of The Business Women Expo 2022 which is happening from March 11 to 13. It will be flagged from the HITEX Exhibition Centre. Besides the 2k run (non-timed), it will host a 5k run (timed).
The run is set to start from 5:00 pm and the runner’s group has set two race categories, exclusively for women. These categories include – 5 km (with timing chip) and 2 km (without timing chip).

Registration includes a t-shirt, snacks, finisher medal, and timing certificate for a 5k run.
