Jagtial: Welfare Minister Koppula Eashwar on Thursday advised women to explore self-employment opportunities for their financial empowerment. The Minister distributed sewing machines to 20 women, Rs 10.68 lakh worth cheques sanctioned under Chief Minister assistance fund and certificates to 69 ladies who underwent self-employment training conducted jointly by SC corporation and Star Mahila Mandali in a programme held in Dharmapuri.
Speaking on the occasion, Eashwar advised the women to develop their skills by utilizing skill development training pogrammes organised by the government.
Promising to provide employment to women who underwent training through SC Corporation, the Minister assured to provide orders to women to manufacture uniforms for the students studying in government residential schools in Jagtial district.
Collector G Ravi, DCMS Chairman Ellala Srikanth Reddy, Municipal chairperson Sangi Sattaiah, MPP Edla Chittibabu, ZPTC Bathini Aruna and others participated in the programme.
