Woxsen, German varsity set up Centre of Excellence in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Woxsen University launched a first-of-its-kind international Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Hyderabad in collaboration with its partner university, HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management, Germany, in the areas of entrepreneurship and business development.
This CoE will be led by Woxsen University’s incubation centre-Trade Tower, along with scholars and industry practitioners. The CoE will provide leadership, best practices, research, support, training of trainers and skill training for specific sectors. The centre will operate perpetually.
The CoE in skilling ecosystem is envisioned to be one-stop resource centre, established in partnership with industry to raise training standards, boost productivity, address emerging skill gaps, and align training and research with industry needs.
Woxsen University and HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management will develop strong association between academia and industry for the benefit of the skill development sector.
Besides conducting research and development in related fields, both the institutions will foster relations across countries, between governments, workers, chambers of commerce, academia, industry, and other Industrial associations in establishing collaborations of various projects of institute/organisations.
The expected deliverables from the CoE could be commercialisation, innovations, patents, published papers, pilot sample development, project/study reports, application development, among others.
At HHL Leipzig, the CoE is represented by dean professor Dr Stephan Stubner and assistant professor and leader of the strategic entrepreneurship research group, professor Dr Dominik Kanbach.
From Woxsen University, the CoE is represented by VP Dr Raul Villamarin Rodríguez, head of Trade Tower professor Kashyap Kompella. This will facilitate suitable platform to members of Woxsen University for demonstrating the results of individual projects and helping provide necessary technical information that is required to execute assigned projects.
