Yadadri-Bhongir: The 11-day annual brahmostavam began at Sri Yadadri Lakshminarsimha Swamy temple with chanting of swasthi vachan by the temple priests on Friday morning. The temple was decked up with colourful lights and flowers for annual brahmostavams. The temple authorities have made special arrangements on the hill shrine to provide facilities to the devotees, who would arrive to participate in annual brahmostavams.
After performing pooja to Swayambhu Sri Lakshminarsimha Swamy idol in the main temple at 10 am, special rituals were performed by the temple priests at Balayam marking the commencement of annual brahmostavam. Vishwakthsenana pooja and raksha bhandam also conducted. The members of Pochampally Padmashali Sangam also presented silk cloths for the purpose of annual brahmostavam.
The temple Executive Officer N Geetha was also present.
Earlier, the district Collector Pamela Sathpathi welcomed Akhanda jyothy shobha yatra on reaching Bhongir on the way to Yadadri. It has a tradition that Akhanda jyothy shobha yatra would be taken out from Yagagiri Bhavan at Bharkatpura in Hyderabad to Yadadri as a part of annual brahmostavams.
