Yadadri: Seven-day Maha Kumbha Samprokshana begins at Lakshminarsimha Swamy temple

Yadadri-Bhongir: As a part of maha kumbha samprokshana, panchakundathmaka yagam began with swasthi vacahan and raksha bandhan by the ruthiwaks in Sri Yadadri Lakshminarsimha Swamy temple (Balalayam) on the hill shrine on Monday. In the morning, abhisekham was performed to presiding deities in Balalyam with water of Godavari water, which was brought by Government Whip Gingidi Sunitha from Out Turn of 15th package of Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation scheme.
At 9.35 am, the temple priests went into main temple and performed pujas seeking swayambhu Sri Lakshminarshimha Swamy for the permission for conduct of maha kumbha samprokshana. Later, they were also conducted vasthu pooja, vasthu bahali and vasthu yagam in the main temple. As a part of panchakundathmaka yagam, astothara shatha ghatabhisekham was performed in Balalayam with 108 kalash. The temple priests were also lit an akhanda deepam at Balalayam, which would continue to light until end of the celebrations.
Ruthwiks also conducted special pooja at the place at the venue of panchakundathmaka yagam. 108 ruthwiks were participated in the panchakundathmaka hoomam, which would be conducted for seven days. The entire pooja programmes were being conducting under the supervision of the temple chief priest Nallanthingal Lakshmi Narasimha Charyulu. The temple Executive Officer N Geetha was also personally supervising the arrangements required for conduct of rituals and poojas as a part of maha kumbha samprokshana.
Arjitha sevas were also cancelled at Balalayam due to panchakundathmaka yagam. The police made elaborate security arrangements at Yadadri in view of maha kumbha samprokshana.
