Yeswanth, Harshini clinch AITA Championship U-18 titles

Hyderabad: G Yeswanth defeated Trishant Reddy 6-4, 6-4 while Harshini Viswanadh downed Omna Yadav 6-3, 6-4 to clinch boys and girls titles respectively in the under-18 category at the AITA Championship for Under-16 and Under-18 at the Sania Mirza Tennis Academy, on Friday.

U-18: Boys: Yeswanth G (Mt Litera School, Hyderabad) bt Trishant Reddy D (Birla Open Minds School, Hyderbad); 6-4, 6-4;

Boys Doubles: Hansh Karthikeya Vadlamani (Page Jnr College)/Arjun Abhayankar (BMC College Pune) bt Naishik Reddy G (Slate The School)/Yagnesh P (Nalla Malla Reddy College) 6-3, 6-4.

Girls: Harshini Viswanadh (SFS School Vizag) bt Omna Yadhav (Devi Memorial Hyderabad) 6-3, 6-4;

Girls Doubles: G Sowkhya (Triveni Junior College)/Yesasvi K Omeg Jnr College) bt Harshini Viswanadh (SFS School)/Ruchitha V (Sri Aadhya Junior College) 5-7, 6-2, 10-6;

U-16: Boys: V Dhiraj Reddy (CMR International School) bt Trishant Reddy D (Birla Open Minds School) 7-6 (9-7), 6-7 (1-7), 7-6 (7-4);

Girls: Nainika Reddy (Indian Memorial School, Solapur) btHarshini Viswanadh (SFS School, Vizag) 6-4, 6-4.
