YFLO chairperson Deepthi Reddy and committee organised a virtual session on October 28 with celebrity nutritionist and Nourish Genie Pooja Makhija to understand the eating habits and diet plan. YFLO chairperson Deepthi Reddy introduced the speaker.
Pooja Makhija shared that the “5 hacks of keeping our body fit and healthy include diet, exercise, water, sleep and eating smart”. She added, “One should follow diet based on one’s lifestyle. Eat what suits your body in proper portion. Portion control is the key in diet. Indian diet is one of the best in the world. Indian thalis are best in nutrition and taste.”
“Exercise is not only about going to the gym. Exercise is any physical activity, be it walking with your friend or playing with your dog. Exercise is not only for weight loss, it also helps in maintaining good skin, mental health, and rejuvenates your body. Do any exercise you enjoy.”
She also explained about the importance of drinking adequate water.
Deepthi Reddy moderated the session efficiently managing Q and A, and asking queries based on healthy lifestyle and need of supplements in diet.
