Young woman alleges harassment by roommates in name of caste in Hyderabad
According to the complainant, the harassment started ever since she stopped the roommates from bringing men to their room without permission
Hyderabad: The Filmnagar police have registered a case against two young women for allegedly harassing and abusing a young woman living in the same room with them in the name of caste.
The 24-year-old woman from Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh working as a fashion designer has been staying in a sharing room with two other women in Shaikpet for the past ten months. However, for the past few months, both of them have been fighting with the complainant over trivial matters.
As per available information, the duo started abusing her in the name of caste. According to the complainant, the harassment started allegedly ever since she stopped the roommates from bringing men to their room without permission and alleged she was also confined and beaten up by her roommates and also given rape threats.
The victim complained to the Filmnagar police on Wednesday, following which a case was booked and being investigated.
