Young woman under Kothagudem Sakhi Centre’s care goes missing in Telangana

Kothagudem: The authorities of Sakhi Centre in Kothagudem lodged a complaint with the Kothagudem police about the alleged disappearance of a young married woman under their care.
It was said that the woman, L Sandhya of Tippanapalli village in Chandrugonda mandal here, married a youth from the same village four months ago in an inter-religion marriage after she fell in love with him.
Her parents approached the Chandrugonda police stating that their daughter was a minor. The woman approached the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) claiming that she was a major and produced the documents supporting her claim.
Following this, Sandhya was kept under the care of the Sakhi Centre here. On Monday she was taken to the court for a hearing in connection with the case, after which she reportedly went missing from the court premises.
