Police arrest Telangana Youth Congress activists in Karimnagar on Thursday.
Karimnagar: Youth Congress activists on Thursday tried to attack the house of BRS leader and former MLA Sunke Ravishankar in Burugupalli of Gangadhara mandal on Thursday in protest against the latter’s alleged comments against Choppadandi MLA Medipally Satyam.
Youth Congress workers, led by district president Shankar and constituency in-charge Yagnesh, tried to attack the BRS leader’s residence.
However, the police foiled their attempt. When they reached the entrance gate of the house, police rushed to the spot and arrested them and shifted them to the police station.
Reacting sharply to the incident, Ravishankar condemned the Youth Congress activists’ move.
In the wake of Satyam’s recent threat to attack BRS party offices and its workers, Ravishankar on Thursday gave a strong warning to the legislator, which in turn provoked the Youth Congress activists.
